An advanced ~6 MW agrivoltaic plant in Veneto

Sunscape has obtained authorization for its first advanced agrivoltaic project, a plant of approximately 6 MW located in Veneto with medium-voltage grid connection and contained implementation timelines.

The project combines agricultural production and solar energy through a design that includes crops of carrots, radicchio, peas and green beans beneath the photovoltaic modules, ensuring continuity of farming activities across the entire site.

The plant will generate approximately 9 GWh per year, enough to cover the electricity needs of more than 4,000 households, and will avoid more than 50,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions over its operating life.

Landscape, environment and agronomy at the core

The initiative was developed in full compliance with the evolving Italian regulation on advanced agrivoltaics, which requires at least 70% of the surface to remain dedicated to cultivation and mandates an agronomic monitoring system verified by qualified technicians.

The authorization confirms Sunscape’s ability to manage complex permitting procedures and to develop sustainable projects fully integrated with the local territory, thanks to multidisciplinary expertise spanning energy design, urban planning, environmental and agronomic matters.
