Announcing the Italy–U.S. partnership

Sunscape and Chaberton Energy announce the launch of a strategic joint venture to develop renewable energy plants in Italy. The JV operates under the Sunscape brand and is active throughout the country, with operational headquarters in Milan.

The initiative brings together two complementary realities: on one side, Sunscape's execution capabilities in the Italian market; on the other, Chaberton Energy's international track record and financial strength in the renewables sector.

Who is Chaberton Energy

Chaberton Energy is a U.S. group leading the development of renewable energy plants, with a solid international track record in the clean energy market.

To enter the Italian market, Chaberton Energy chose Sunscape as operating partner, recognizing the Italian team's technical and permitting experience in the photovoltaic and agrivoltaic sectors.

A complementary collaboration model

Within the joint venture, Chaberton Energy provides the capital required to develop the projects, along with the international know-how built up in the United States.

Sunscape coordinates all operational activities: land scouting and contracting, permitting, technical engineering, grid connection and management of relationships with public bodies and local stakeholders.

This model accelerates the development of distributed plants in the 1–10 MW range, reducing the time and risks typical of the development phase.

A national pipeline, from photovoltaic to agrivoltaic

From the earliest stages, the JV has built a pipeline of projects distributed across several Italian regions, including traditional photovoltaic, agrivoltaic and BESS (storage) initiatives.

The objective is to serve both the wholesale market and the local Renewable Energy Communities, making a concrete contribution to the Italian energy transition and to the growth of renewable generation in the country.

A bridge between the U.S. and Europe

The joint venture acts as a strategic bridge between the U.S. and European energy markets: American capital and best practices combine with local know-how to develop sustainable and innovative energy infrastructure in Italy.
