OPEN POSITIONS

Sunscape is currently looking for a SOLAR DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST to join its team. The resource will be expected to follow the origination and development of photovoltaic or agrivoltaic plants of rated power in the range 1-10 MW, with or without storage systems.

Main responsibilities:

  • Carry out constraint analyses on the identified sites aimed at verifying the presence of any landscape constraints, buffers, etc.
  • Carry out site visits on the identified sites to verify their suitability for the construction of photovoltaic systems and identify important aspects to be taken into account in the design stages.
  • Draw up preliminary layouts of photovoltaic plants and estimate their annual energy production.
  • Manage interconnection procedures for connecting the PV plants to the electrical distribution and/or transmission grids.
  • Manage permitting procedures for the construction and operation of PV plants and grid connection infrastructures.
  • Take care of relationships with relevant authorities to apply for permits, clearances, and/or opinions necessary for the construction of facilities.
  • Take care of relationships with professionals, firms, EPC, and external companies, coordinating their activities based on deadlines and current regulations.
  • Help set budgets, timelines, and goals for projects under development and make sure they are met as closely as possible.
  • Critically analyze national, regional and municipal regulations governing the permitting and construction of facilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date timesheets and other internal documents.
  • Prepare presentations (power point) and conduct internal meetings, mostly in English, to update the rest of the team about the progress of projects under development.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Native speaker's knowledge of Italian.
  • Good knowledge of English (i.e., ability to actively participate in meetings in English).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (other degrees will still be considered).
  • Ability to travel independently by own vehicle and/or public transportation to conduct inspections, meet with relevant authorities, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.

They will be positively evaluated:

  • Master's degree in Energy, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous work experience about the development of renewable energy production facilities.
  • Knowledge of software for preliminary design and performance evaluation of PV systems (Helioscope, PVSyst or similar).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS software.

Continuing contract is offered with competitive compensation to be determined at interview also based on the candidate's experience and skills. Work is to be performed primarily at Bari office (Piazza Umberto I, 54, Bari) with the possibility of remote work to be discussed during interview. Sunscape is currently seeking a Project Manager to join its team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the executive team in setting goals, deadlines, and budgets for each project.
  • Support the executive team in assigning tasks and responsibilities to work teams and external collaborators.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date detailed plans for the completion of activities.
  • Monitor and manage project costs and make sure they are in line with defined budgers.
  • Keep track of timelines and deadlines and identify causes of potential delays.
  • Coordinate the activities of different teams so that they perform their tasks on schedule, optimizing communication in the workplace.
  • Support the executive team in managing paperwork.
  • Prepare and present slides, mostly in English, to show the progress of various projects, their important and/or critical points, and the next steps to be taken.
  • Maintain relationships, including in English, with stakeholders involved in the development of various projects.
  • Support the development team in managing relationships with relevant authorities for project permitting.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Work experience of at least two years in a similar role.
  • Native speaker's knowledge of Italian.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Accuracy in document management and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.

They will be positively evaluated:

  • Previous work experience as a project manager in the renewable energy sector.
  • Master's degree in engineering, economics or law.
